Few musical acts are capable of exhibiting the sheer depth of emotional terror that Cult Leader possess - let alone in such a savage, and unrelenting manner of expertise. Terms like ‘extreme metal’ and ‘crust punk’ are hurled their way, yet when immersed in their thoughtful ferocity, and diametrically opposed moments of pained quiet, one might think they are best left described as simply being ‘chaotic’. Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, and formed in 2013 from the death of their prior and highly revered band Gaza, Cult Leader have to date released four records under the Deathwish Inc. label, with 2018’s ‘A Patient Man’ no doubt their crowning achievement. The four piece has toured the northern hemisphere with such acts as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Deftones, Converge, Oathbreaker and more, and April 2019 will finally see the band visit Australia for the first time ever. With tours in support of Amenra and The Ocean under their belts, like-minded Sydney outfit Lo! will join them on all dates.
STRANGER FRUIT TOUR 2019
AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND
Zeal & Ardor is truly a musical force like no other. A one-time experiment of Swiss-American mastermind Manuel Gagneux, the avant-garde combination of negro spirituals and black metal embraced on his 2015 album Devil Is Fine quickly connected with several previously unstruck chords - as though American slaves had discovered Satanism instead of Christianity. After being invited to play the illustrious Roadburn Festival while still a bedroom concoction, a full lineup was soon established, and the global rollout begun. 2018’s follow-up Stranger Fruit took the now-complete band to new heights of powerful weirdness and sharp social commentary, and has already seen their name emblazoned on several high profile end of year lists - including those of the revered Decibel and Revolver magazines. This experiment is emboldened and only just beginning.
Making their debut Australian appearance alongside Deafheaven at the Perth Festival in February 2019, Zeal & Ardor will then perform a string of exclusive headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, as well as jumping across to play Wellington, New Zealand.

YOUTH CODE (USA)
AUSTRALIAN TOUR APRIL 2018
w/ KOLLAPS, REBEL YELL
Youth Code is collision of nasty industrial darkness, body-slamming electronic beats, extreme metal sensibilities, and hardcore punk angst - a proposition to many previously unknown, to others one that is simply being revitalized. Nonetheless, the duo of Sara Taylor and Ryan George bring a savage and intuitive approach that has rapidly garnered the band attention in multiple underground scenes. One only has to look over the intensely varied list of artists the group has toured in support of across their six fruitful years - Deafheaven, Code Orange, Skinny Puppy, Chelsea Wolfe, AFI, and Carpenter Brut to name a handful - to recognize the level of subversiveness under which Youth Code operates.
Firing off the back of 2016’s acclaimed Commitment To Complications album, April 2018 will see Youth Code make their long-awaited live debut down under on a string of shows designed to challenge and confront. The band will appear at the landmark ‘Dali Land’ Salvador Dali art exhibition in Perth, before taking on Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Joining them will be Melbourne’s Kollaps - a three piece of harsh industrial noise and encompassing gloom currently riding low all over the world off the back of 2017’s Sibling Lovers full-length. Having just released her impressive new ‘Pressure Drop’ single, the cathartic and noxious techno of Brisbane’s Rebel Yell will open the package.
